President of the Alliance for Progressives (AP) Ndaba Gaolathe says that his party still believes in opposition unity as long as there is honesty and transparency in the talks.
Speaking at the AP conference in Francistown Ndaba said that he has no doubt that opposition unity can be achieved.
“As AP, we have not given up on opposition unity. As long as truth prevails during the process, we do not have a problem.
“We cannot govern a country through dishonesty and deceit. We are a party that believes in the principle of honesty,” Gaolathe said.
Gaolathe said that contrary to the narrative that AP is against opposition unity, they also have a vision of the opposition uniting but with honesty.
“You should not be misled or intimidated by some critics because you know the truth,” Gao lathe urged the party faithful.
